Reuben Corona grew up in Eagle Rock, CA and has excelled in art from an early age. Since 1993 after brief periods at Art Center and Disney, Reuben spent many years struggling in the fine arts field working as an assistant to sculptors, painters, and photographers. It was only when he discovered Matte Painting in 2008, that he found an art form to truly apply his experiences and observations. Reuben started in visual effects at Bling Imaging where he interned as a generalist. Since 2010, he began freelance matte painting work for Motion Theory and Logan. "It was a huge revelation for me! A craft that demanded my highest artistic aesthetic and uses skills I had developed as an assistant. I have always been fascinated with how light hits an object and the texture of any given thing or how something comes apart. For me, Matte Painting calls upon those random observations and uses them to enhance a story." Reuben has contributed to such projects as: "The Amazing Spiderman" game teaser trailer, "Premium Rush", "Skyrim V" trailer,
"Lucky"(2010), and "The Last Generation"
